We are locally owned and operated. Our veterinary clinic is a full-service hospital. Services include dentistry, spays and neuters, general and orthopedic surgery, digital imaging, pain control, pharmacy prescriptions, and vaccinations. Evening, emergency, and Saturday appointments are available.

**Job description**

Discovery Animal Hospital is currently recruiting for a part-time, dependable, and confident Kennel Attendant/Cleaner to join our clinic. Must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. This role includes a variety of tasks ranging from responsibilities that directly contributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital.

As a Kennel Attendant/Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:

- Cleaning exam rooms thoroughly and promptly after the client/patient and Doctor exit.
- Cleaning the lobby and front area of the clinic prior to afternoon appointments beginning.
- Cleaning the kennels directly after the patients leave our care.
- Cleaning up after the animals that are in our care.
- Cleaning of the surgery prep room after appointments are complete for the day.
- Garbage removal as required (at least once daily)
- Daily laundry duties, dishes and putting away accordingly
- Regular participation in staff meetings to share ideas and suggestions to improve animal care services;
- Must use discretion and good judgment at all times to ensure the good reputation of the organization;
- Must be familiar with and supportive of the goals and mission of the organization;
- Performs other duties as assigned by management personnel.
- Refilling the cleaning supplies as required, i.e. Clinicide, Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, etc.
- Stocking the cupboards and shelves in all exam rooms and other areas of the clinic as required

Skills required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cleaner or in a medical-based clinic preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Optimistic attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork skills.
- Appreciation and passion for animal welfare.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
