**Responsibilities**:

- Develop competitive plan for tendered projects.
- Set up new projects and complete awarded project documents.
- Estimate the cost to excavate and backfill buildings and structures.
- Estimate the cost to complete reconstruction and new roads.
- Estimate the cost to repair and place new storm, sanitary and water.
- Recognize sound construction principles and practices.
- Understand quality control techniques.
- Know how to read blueprints, site plans, and other plans.
- Write estimates and reports.
- Be able to confidently submit permits and handle locates for jobs.
- Be able to order materials and supplies for ground teams to complete projects.
- Communicate effectively with teams on the ground to ensure project is completed in a timely manner.
- Be detail and number oriented.
- Work collaboratively with Project Superintendents, Project Managers, and Owners.
- Positively represent R. Russell Construction when dealing with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and salespeople.
- Report to owners of R. Russell Construction and Clients.

**Experience & Educational Requirements**
- Must have 5+ years experience in construction industry, preferably with site preparations and full scale excavation.
- Should have post-secondary diploma/degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited College or University.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
- Excellent math skills, problem solving and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Strong interperonsal, communication and leadership skills.
- Able to make timely and effective decisions.
- Team player, able to work effectively with others.
- Collaborate with project owners, superintendents, supervisors.
