**Status**:
FTE: 0.200

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Head Custodian, this position is responsible for the operation of the heating and mechanical equipment, as well as performing assigned custodial duties. In the absence of the Head Custodian and when there is no Charge Hand on duty, this position is in charge of custodial staff and functions.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- performing and/or organizing all cleaning duties
- maintaining floors including scrubbing, waxing, stripping, and refinishing
- maintaining the building and the heating and mechanical equipment
- supervising and training custodial staff
- maintaining the security of the building
- assisting with coordination of the school’s health and safety program
- assisting building tenants, parents and members of the community
- performing administrative duties
- moving furniture (setting-up and removing furniture for school functions)
- removing snow

**Rate of Pay**:
$26.60 per hour

**Closing**:
**NOTE: This position will work 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays**.

This position is located at Vimy Ridge School, 8205 90 Ave NW, Edmonton.
