We are currently recruiting **Security Guards**to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations.

**Security Guard responsibilities**:

- Protecting people, assets & property at client locations
- Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis
- Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems
- Conducting preventive surveillance
- Providing impeccable customer service
- Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance
- Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment
- Enforcing client property regulations
- Writing reports
- Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented

**Security Guard requirements**:

- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification **(Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)**:

- Must pass Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) **(REQUIRED)**:

- Have received a primary series of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine
- A Recent **2-Step TB test or equivalent** within the past 6 months
- Valid Driver's License **(REQUIRED)**:

- Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation **(REQUIRED)**:

- Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Grand Bend, Wallaceburg & Chatham
- Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset
- Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 48 per week

- Are you willing to travel out of Sarnia? We have events in areas like Grand Bend, St Thomas, Chatham, Wallaceburg, Sombra etc. Would you be able to work a shift out of town if you were scheduled in one of those locations?

- Are you currently a student? (including if on a summer break)
- Are you able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Police check? This will be required before starting?
- is there any day of the week you are not available to be scheduled?

**Experience**:

- Security Guard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)
- Red Cross CPR & First Aid (Level C) certificate (required)
