**CAMERON STEEL **is looking for a skilled **WELDING INSPECTOR **to join our growing Team**.**

Applicants must be able to work with mínimal supervision and have a minimum of 3 years experience as a welding inspector.
**Qualifications/Skills include**:
- Diploma in Welding Technician or Technologist or equivalent
- CWB Welding Supervisor Certification CSA Standard W47.1 & W47.2
- CWB Level 1 or 2 Welding Inspector Certification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in medium / heavy fabrication and machining environment
- Practical and theoretical proficiency with SMAW, GMAW and GTAW processes
- Excellent knowledge of welding methods and welding symbols
- NACE CIP Certification would be an asset
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
**Responsibilities include**:
- Dimensional and visual inspections on welded joints and conduct tests to ensure welds meet company standards, national code requirements and customer job specifications.
- Dimensional inspections of fit parts to ensure parts are fit as per drawings
- Perform in process and final inspection of parts and assemblies.
- Review drawing details and ensure that the specifications are understood and translated to the shop floor.
- Monitor materials and consumables for code compliance and that they are being stored, issued and handled in accordance with accepted quality procedures.
- Monitor welding in the shop to ensure procedures are being followed and that welds are only being completed by qualified welders.
- Assist in training / testing of welders on new and existing weld procedures per specific part requirements.
- Responsible for CWB, AWS and audits.
- Knowledge of ASME code.
- Prepare weld test samples.
- Understand paint and coating requirements and inspect as per customer job specifications.
- Submit Certificates of Conformance for customer orders.
- Completion of Inspection & Test Plan reports and submit to Quality Manager
- Ensure all shop instruments are up to date with calibrations and certifications.
- Identify, document and correct deficiencies found.
**Experience with**:
- Excellent use of MS Office Suite and related computer skills
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Overtime and some flexible hours are required for this position)
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00/hr - Depending on experience
