Gatehouse Security Guard

Skanna Security is looking for a Full-Time Security Guard for our Gatehouse in
**Vaughan**. The gatehouse involves working outside in all weather conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of properties and answering alarms during patrols with primary duties being conducted at the Gatehouse.

**SHIFT**:
**MORNINGS (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) AND AFTERNOONS (2:00 PM - 10.00 PM)**

- Outside & Inside Work.
- Exiting and entering the gatehouse regularly to check trailers.
- Fast pace.
- Full Time.
- Active Position, Standing, Walking Required.
- Flexible to work at night.
- Must drive own vehicle.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Ensuring compliance from truck drivers on protocols and procedures.
- Deterring and responding to incidents on the property.
- Responding to various types of emergencies (fire alarms/elevator entrapment/intrusion alarms) Communicating regularly with patrons/clients.
- Completing reports and memo book entries regularly.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience with gaining compliance.
- Strong ability to handle conflict and de-escalation.
- Accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Security Guard license and first aid card (CPR level C).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous security experience working in a gatehouse.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Above-average communication skills (written/oral).
- Computer skills and ability to write a report.
- Sense of observation and responsibility.
- Honesty, autonomy, and very good judgment.
- Ability to intervene quickly and manage stress.
- Team spirit and excellent customer service.
