**Position Overview**:

- The primary role and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Work as part of the team to the kitchen and dining areas are safe, welcoming and fully stocked for guests;
- Assist with meal service; provide kitchen help as requested.
- Ensure snacks, fresh fruit and beverages are always available.
- Distribute bagged lunches as needed.
- Monitor expiry dates on dining room foods and beverages and replenish as needed.
- Ensure all condiments and dining area foods/dairy are stocked as needed throughout the day.
- Record temperatures of the coolers in the logbook and ensure they are in accordance with specification on
- the form.
- Replenish the steam table as needed; discard of dried/old food as needed.
- Monitor supplies and notify kitchen supervisor when orders are needed.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and presentable dining area and kitchen for the comfort of guests.
- Ensure all health regulations pertaining to food preparation and cleanliness are followed.
- Once a week, do a thorough clean of all condiments and the ice machine.
- Clean coffee/juice machines and toast area as needed.
- Wash dishes after each meal serving and as needed throughout the day.
- Wipe down tables and chairs as needed throughout each day. Remove, wash and replace all trays after each
- meal service.
- Sweep and mop the dining room/kitchen floor.
- Keep all cupboards and surface areas neat and tidy. Wipe down walls, fridges, freezers, appliances and floors
- as required.
- Remove garbage from the building to the bin at end of each shift.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of any administrative areas;
- Review and log daily entries in the communication book for efficiency of shifts change.
- Relays information from reception to kitchen on expected guests and specialized meals requests.
- Time sheets are to be completed and submitted as per Larga policy.
- Attend staff/safety meetings as required.
- Advise department supervisor of any faulty equipment or damage to buildings/furniture.
- Assist clients as needed, be helpful if they have questions and help direct them to the appropriate individual if they
- need assistance.
- Perform other duties as required, Larga Ltd. policies and procedures must be adhered to when completing all

**Requirements**:

- Must have previous experience working a kitchen environment.
- Must be self-motivated, well organized and able to prioritize workload
- Able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
