**Early Childhood Educator Infant/Toddler (ECE I/T) - Part-time**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work with the Children’s Center Manager to provide high quality care
- Ensuring the programs led are of the highest standards
- Ensure students are learning and engaged
- Ensure that the classroom is of high standard, well maintained and aesthetically organized
- Maintain a welcome and communicative relationship with children, families, and members
- Ensuring an educator-child ratio of 1:4 minimum with a maximum of 2:8
- Ability to lead, program, and structure a safe environment for infant and toddler-aged groups
- Ability to work with all early-years age groups (0-5)
- Set up and maintain prepared environment
- Demonstrate appropriate child guidance techniques that are respectful to the child and help develop self-esteem, independence, good decision making, and trust
- Utilizing prepared materials and resources to develop high quality programs and curriculums
- Supervising outdoor play
- Subbing in other Children’s Programs when needed
- Participating in school activities, trips, and events

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- BC Early Child Educator Infant-Toddler Specialization Certificate
- Child First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Criminal Record Review by Ministry of Education
- Immunization History
- including COVID-19 Vaccination
- 3 reference contacts or letters related to the field
- Experience working with children ages 0-5 years
- Experience in a Montessori environment an asset
- Knowledge using Montessori equipment an asset
- Experience in a Play-based, Reggio Emilia, or Waldorf environment an asset
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to lead programs solo or with groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities
- Ability to lead programs that are both academic and play-based

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $24.50 per hour
