About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A college diploma, CEGEP certificate, or non-university certificate/diploma from a program lasting between 1-2 years
  • Experience working with young children is considered an asset
  • Criminal record check required
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental coverage, as well as a generous paid vacation policy.
