**THE ROLE**
Under the supervision of the Chef, the Lead Cook prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with menus, established and standardized recipes, and production control charts. They monitor cooking and food preparation. They supervise employees and assist with scheduling and training. They ensure quality products and service is being provided while maintaining portion sizes and presentation standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma AND several years experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field

**Experience**

In commercial food service

In food preparation and stock rotation

In personnel administration

In operating kitchen equipment

In ordering and food storage

In providing customer service
