**Title**: Demand Planner

**Reports to**: Inventory Manager

**Job Purpose**: This Demand Planning position is responsible to facilitate all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner analyses and challenges forecasts for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources (i.e.: Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data).

The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. Sales Forecast/Sales History/Operational analytics and modeling is the responsibility of this position. This position leads all teams in the organization through the monthly S&OP process and manages all information relating to it. This role consistently leads the dialogue of the cross functional teams each month to ensure alignment across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Lead and oversee demand planning and management of monthly cadence & processes for new and existing products. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing R&D, Supply Chain, Executive Team and Finance.
- Collaborate with customers, sales channel leaders as well as supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data / analytics, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Interact with sales, marketing, R&D and customers to understand demand forecast drivers
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing R&D and Customers to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
- Utilize, maintain, and recommend upgrades the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum Education: BA/BS college degree or its equivalent
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2-5 years
- Certifications Required: SCM Degrees or Designations would be an asset, Data Science Certificate, APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred
- Computer Software Requirement:.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook,).Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics and Knowledge of ERP's, S&OP.
- Specialized Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, data management, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
