_**Responsibilities**:_
- Offer coffee, tea and social interaction with residents during meal period
- Receive feedback and resident concerns following complaints process
- Communicate with ED specific issues creating risk for residents to give notice
- Support new moves in while they settle into their new home
- Visit 1-2 residentsmdaily in their suite to review their experience at Muskoka Traditions
- Oversee resident experience action plan
- Participate in community events with RLC as appropriate
- Execute 1-2 additional social programs with residents per shift - should be group activities that build connection and sense of community
- Attend resident council meetings and food committee meetings
- **Qualifications**:_
- A community college diploma/university degree in recreation/activation or a university degree in psychology, sociology or gerontology plus a certificate in recreation/activation. Certificates in management, gerontology and volunteer management an asset.
- Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement home or long-term care setting.
- Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniors.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, creativity and high motivation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word for Windows or other word processors or programs as needed an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Welland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
