Our **Vocational Training Programs** are very unique, and we stand out from other schools. We believe in traditional instructor-led training integrated with guided hands-on skills practice, and one-on-one support is always available. Technical skills are very important, we also concentrate equally on communication and interpersonal skills.

**Overview**

We are seeking a qualified **Instructor** for our **Teaching Assistant Diploma Program. **This position will instruct our students how to assist with classroom management, instruction and provide one-on-one support for students. Teaching Assistants play a key role in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans as well as Behaviour Support Plans for identified students. Teaching Assistants are valued members of the school team and not only will you be aiding in the development of successful students, but also in the development of outstanding citizens.

The **Teaching Assistant Instructor** is responsible for delivering course content in a dynamic and engaging manner; implementing and correcting assignments/projects; and actively implementing course curriculum. As an Instructor, you will observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and facilitate the delivery of classroom materials and other materials as required for online and in-person classrooms.
- Develop appropriate learning activities and teaching plans for each teaching assignment.
- Document participant attendance, participation, and academic progress and share this information with the career coaches to support work-experience placements.
- Answer participant questions and provide individual feedback as required.
- Manage the classroom and activities to provide an optimum learning environment for participants, including the maintenance of a predictable routine and environment.
- Work 1-on-1 with participants that need extra support.
- Provide direction and instruction to the part time Teaching Assistant to support class management and participant learning.
- Participate in program debriefing sessions(s), and provide recommendations related to course content, materials, participant preparedness, delivery format, etc.
- Collaborate with instructors at other delivery sites as needed to support a coordinated scope.
- Provide feedback on curriculum content.
- Identify areas for program improvement, especially for participant experience and workplace preparedness.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record of effective teaching and instructional design, with experience in adult education or training programs.
- Certification in instructional design or teaching methodologies is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners.
- Experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction is desirable.
- Experience in using a learning management system (LMS) and other classroom technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of campus life and support services.
- A positive attitude and presentable appearance
- Demonstrated ability to maintain utmost discipline in the classroom.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
