Quality Control Technician

**Job Overview**:
Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that our edge banding products meet the company quality and efficiency standards before our products are shipped to our customers. Your responsibility is to make certain that all products are in compliance with the company quality assurance requirements. There should be a continuous inspection of products on the production lines and the shipping area. Any issues regarding product quality should be reported to the Plant Manager and/or Quality Control Manager to meet our quality standards.
**General Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Solid understanding of the work order to ensure that the finished rolls match the work order requirements.
- Ensuring product labels are in compliance with work order specifications.
- Verifying that the packaging requirements are accurate and adhere to the work order “special instructions”.
- Making certain that produced products are compatible to master card in regards to colour, print, texture, and gloss.
- Reviewing production product size including thickness, width, and roll length as per work order requirements.
- Inspecting the straightness of production products, the cure of topcoat, and ID coil size to determine core or non core.
- Logging work order roll #, time, and confirming that the product has been checked.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager or Quality Control Manager.
**Experience & Qualification**:
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in the quality control field.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is considered a strong asset.
- Must be able to read all technical measuring devices, understand metric and conversion in inches.
- Great comprehension and interpretation of work order instructions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to pass colour vision test with related visual experience.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Must be able to lift finished rolls and edge banding boxes.
- Must be able to stand and match work order/master card consistently in the same posture.
- Consistently and repetitive movement of the hands, wrists, and fingers.
**Work Environment**:
Ø Plant environment with high noise level.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
