**Responsibilities**:

- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation of process control systems and related equipment.
- Develop and implement software solutions for industrial automation systems, primarily focusing on programming HMIs and PLCs
- Work with the historian to capture, store, and analyze historical data.
- Utilize industrial protocols such as OPC, Modbus TCP, and others to establish reliable communication between different components of the automation system.
- Develop, implement, and modify control logic and algorithms to improve process efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on process control equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
- Provide technical support for plant operators and maintenance teams to resolve system issues and implement improvements.
- Configure and maintain network administration tasks, including managing network protocols and addressing security concerns.
- Stay current with advancements in industrial automation, networking, and related technologies to drive continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- A 2-year computer programming diploma or related technical qualification.
- Relevant certifications in industrial automation, process control, or related fields are a plus. Strong experience working with HMIs, PLCs, and industrial communication systems.
- Proficiency in industrial programming languages and logic development.
- Familiarity with network administration and protocols commonly used in industrial settings.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing effective solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in mill operations within a mining setting is highly advantageous
