**Position Summary**:
**Key responsibilities**:

- Provides information in an accurate, friendly, empathetic, student-focused, and timely manner. The range of services that the Student Support Representative will be representing is wide and varied, including answering inquiries about grades, awards, financial aid, and admissions.
- Provides general guidance on program guidelines, policies, and processes as well as advisement to prospective students on entrance requirements, divisional selection, admissions processes, educational pathway options and pre-requisites.
- Connects with Admission’s and RO office regarding critical dates, program availability, progression/graduation processes including printing of grade reports, recording of status, and forwarding relevant documentation to the Registrar’s Office.
- Provides student advisement to current students with regards to College/department policies and procedures, academic standings, program status, timetable conflicts, registration, academic appeals, remediation, accessible learning, student course load, police checks and health record issues.A thorough knowledge of College policies and procedures is required.
- Supports students with non-academic concerns by assessing specific needs to liaise and follow up with departments such as Counselling Office, Accessible Learning Office, Student Success Office, Student Advocacy Office - Student Association (SA), Security, First Aid to ensure student needs are met and proper protocol is followed.
- Processes and resolves issues with grade amendments, CAPP reports, grade entry, block registration, course add/drops, substitution/exemption, academic holds, timetable conflicts via STU-VIEW, BANNER/MILLENIUM and A.I.
- Troubleshoots any technical issues with the photocopy machines on the 6th and 7th floor by connecting with IT department, Xerox representatives and technicians to help resolve issues.
- Checks department’s mailbox and sorts mail for all HS department full-time faculty at start and end of shift.
- Maintains inventory and orders supplies needed for the front desk and for the various events at the Centre.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Three-year diploma or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Minimum two (2) years of front-line and administrative experience in a busy office environment.
- Experience in the educational sector preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

**Notes**:

- The College requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer.
- First consideration will be provided to regular part time (RPT) support staff in accordance with the part time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
