**Summary of the Role**:
We have an opportunity for an Accounting Co-op/Intern to join our luxury fashion company, where you'll blend your financial acumen with your love for Retail & e-Commerce. This role supports the financial reporting process for balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, OPEX accounts, and will also assist with special projects and implementations for the department and overall company. The key outcome of this role is to ensure accurate, timely reporting to management with insightful variance and trend analysis to support decision-making for the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support financial reporting process
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of all company accounts to ensure accuracy
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including Shopify payments, prepaids, inventory and accrued liabilities, and prepare monthly entries to maintain records.
- Compile and prepare entries for monthly accruals/reclasses to general ledger accounts, providing support that is organized, accurate, and descriptive Fulfill all duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other assigned tasks, in a timely manner to comply with the close calendar, checklists, and other due dates as assigned
- Corporate credit cards & Invoices
- Assist in streamlining corporate credit card program and prepare entries to export to Quickbooks
- Ensure credit card expenses and payments are recorded in line with company policy and allocated to departments Assist AP & departments in managing invoices & details
- Ad-hoc Special Projects & Analysis
- Proactively review current procedures and seek ways to improve them via implementation of new tools, systems, and processes
- Assist in documenting and establishing a strong controls environment through the enhancement and management of accounting systems and controls
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Perform ad-hoc requests and in-depth analysis as requested

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Nearing completion or recently completed a Bachelor's / DAP program in Accounting, or related field.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills
- Proactive and eager to learn new systems in a fast-paced environment
- Passion and understanding of retail, e-commerce and luxury fashion.
- Shopify, Quickbooks, Google Suite experience are an asset.
