About You / What We Are Looking For
Calling upon your independent judgment, action and tact, you are a uniformed city ambassador promoting bylaw compliance and facilitating progressive enforcement where appropriate. A day in the life may include patrolling for a range of bylaw infractions including parking and lawn watering, or attending City of Coquitlam parks and open spaces by foot, bicycle or e-bike for a variety of bylaw violations including: smoking, littering, encampments, dogs at large, and dog licence checks. You will be required to collect evidence, maintain file notes, prepare reports and present evidence at adjudication hearings relating to tickets issued.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is a requirement for this position.
This position is based on a seven (7) hour day with daily hours that can be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 am to midnight, Monday to Sunday inclusive. Hours and shifts may be altered based on operational need.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $37.56 - $44.20. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
