Being a Surgical Assistant means helping the surgeon in the operating room. It means anticipating their actions and preparing their work tools. It means teaming up with them and the other caregivers to support the patient from the start to the end of their experience. **Your tasks at a glance**
- You are the person who works closely with the ophthalmologist; you anticipate their actions while following protocols.
- You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy.
- You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention.
- You will become a specialist of the tools and technologies used during intraocular procedures.
- You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
- You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.
**A clear view of your assets**
- You have a definite interest in the field of health and high-tech devices.
- Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: optometry assistant, orderly, nurse, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, etc.).
- You have a facility with computer tools and technology.
- You are motivated to learn and grow within the company.
- You have the ability to relate to others and quickly establish a climate of trust.
- ** Required**: You have excellent communication skills, **you speak English **_et français aussi._**
