Overview: We are seeking a Technology Advisor with a profound ability to support our clients' IT needs, adept in troubleshooting network and IT equipment challenges. This role is ideal for a proactive, customer-oriented individual with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and a keen aptitude for problem-solving. The position involves on-site client assistance, necessitating regular travel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Offer high-level technical support, addressing complex network and IT equipment issues.
- Support clients in establishing, configuring, and maintaining their IT infrastructures, including servers, routers, switches, and additional network devices.
- Diagnose and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and network concerns through comprehensive investigation and analysis.
- Engage closely with clients to understand their specific IT requirements, proposing bespoke solutions.
- Conduct thorough system diagnostics and monitoring to ensure systems are functioning optimally and to pre-empt potential issues.
- Educate clients on IT best practices, security measures, and the efficient use of technology.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions and advice.
- Work with various teams to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of IT solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, technical issues, and resolutions, utilizing tracking systems.
- Regularly report to management on project progress, challenges, and potential risks.
- Travel to client sites as necessary to provide in-person support and resolve pressing IT issues.
- Host training sessions and workshops to enhance clients' IT skills and knowledge.

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record in IT support and troubleshooting, with a preference for those with client-facing experience.
- Deep knowledge of network infrastructure components such as LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Expertise in identifying and fixing hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, coupled with effective task prioritization in fast-paced settings.
- Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Effective communicator, capable of simplifying technical jargon for a non-technical audience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively across functions.
- Must have regular access to transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCSA are considered a plus.

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
