As a Human Resources Summer Student, you will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Human Resources. You will take on tasks related to end-to-end recruiting, onboarding of new employees, and complete data entry. This is a summer term running from May to August.

**What Your Day Will Look Like**

**Hours of Work**:Full-time day hours Monday-Friday. May-August term.

**Work Location**:Southwest Properties Main Office - Downtown Halifax.

**What You'll be Responsible For**
- Assist in end-to-end recruiting process including screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and participating in interview panels.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes including background and reference checks.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Assist with the implementation of HRIS Modules.
- Complete data entry and maintain employee records.
- Provide user-support and troubleshooting for HRIS-related issues.
- Support payroll processes, including scanning documents for electronic record-keeping.
- Assist with HR and Payroll projects and initiatives as needed.
