**THE ROLE**:
The Reservations Attendant must handle all reservations, inquiries, and cancellations in a timely and courteous manner. while creating the best first impression for our future guests.

**ACTIVITIES**:
The duties and responsibilities for the Reservations Agent include, but are not limited to the following:

- Accept, greet and respond to all incoming calls into reservations in a timely, professional and courteous manner
- Negotiates rates and up-sells rooms in order to increase occupancy and maximize revenues
- Record all reservations in a timely manner and with 100% accuracy
- Follow procedures to communicate information to other departments to ensure a positive guest experience
- Processes all no-show and non-guaranteed reservations
- Enters all special room requests into computer and alerts front desk staff of special requests in order to ensure departmental follow through and guest satisfaction
- Work with Director of Sales & Marketing in entering group blocks and rooming lists
- Keeps up to date on all local and hotel functions and services in order to efficiently respond to telephone inquiries
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper business attire and nametag when working
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Comply at all times with hotel regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations

**COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING**:

- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- High school diploma required and college degree preferred
- Knowledge of Property Manager PMS considered an asset
- Previous reservations experience preferred
- Second language preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to type accurately (30 words per minute)
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, weekdays and holidays

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4-6 months

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
