**What you’ll be doing**:
- Recruit, train, and develop the store team.
- Manage and supervise store operations.
- Ensure that all teams work in harmony to achieve set objectives.
- Ensure that the values and uniqueness of the store and Decathlon Canada are respected.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the company.
- Greet and inform customers about our products and services.
- Ensure the safety of people and property in the store at all times.
- Efficiently manage the receipt of merchandise for restocking.
- Monitor and control sales and economic data in collaboration with the finance department.
- Establish and implement the store's action plan for the coming year, including defining business, human, and community priorities following Decathlon Canada's values.
- Promote the store in the local community (public relations, partnership development, networking, participation in various committees).
- Define and implement sports development strategies for the catchment area.
- Be on the lookout for any new developments to help the store and the Decathlon Canada brand evolve.
**What we are looking for**:
- Success in your current position and validation from your leader in this role.
- Proven experience in retail and customer service across various fields.
- Strong interest in sports.
- Sense of responsibility and initiative in daily tasks.
- Skills in personnel management, fostering a participative and inclusive approach.
- Demonstrates active listening, empathy, and kind yet high expectations towards team members to engage, uplift, and motivate them around common goals.
- Ability to recruit staff and provide guidance and support.
- Capacity to inspire people to be part of the Decathlon community by offering quality products at unbeatable prices, expertise on products, and personalized service.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
