Four Counties Addiction Services Team (Fourcast) is a community-based addiction treatment service provider that strives to provide the highest quality of evidence-based addiction treatment and case management services. Fourcast offers services across 5 sites in the region. The community treatment program staff work in-office and community settings and are often co-located and integrated with other organizations to reduce barriers for those accessing services.
**About The Position...**
**This role is based in the Peterborough office with some travel to all Fourcast sites, it is a full time contract position for 2 years.**
**Fourcast is looking for a dynamic new team member who loves to learn and support others Since 2023, Fourcast has embarked on a significant professional development program (Pathways to Excellence, P2E) for all employees of the agency. This has included a large investment in high quality training to ensure our clients receive the best service possible. This position will be pivotal in taking our P2E program to the next level, by supporting staff to integrate and implement their learning into practice. This role will also remain up to date on the most current best practice approaches, and support quality improvement initiatives. This is a new role, and we are looking for someone with enthusiasm to build the role collaboratively with Fourcast leadership members.**
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Clinical Practice Educator facilitates processes to support excellence in client-centered practice based on relevant best practice, conceptual frameworks, research literature, professional standards of practice, legislative requirements, and other scholarly resources. The Clinical Practice Educator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of Fourcast’s Pathways to Excellence (P2E) professional development program and mentoring staff and students in knowledge, skill development and best practice implementation. The Clinical Practice Educator will provide leadership in training and coaching for all Fourcast staff across the organizations professional development program, Pathways to Excellence (P2E).
**What We're Looking For**:
**Education**:
- Master’s Degree preferred or a Minimum Undergraduate degree with 5 or more years direct counselling/therapy experience in both group and individual formats
**Experience**:
- Five or more years’ experience in direct service of addiction treatment or mental health services
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health and an understanding of the impact on individuals, families and the community is required
- Education, training and experience in training and coaching adult learners preferred
- Demonstrated leadership competency, including coaching and development
- Supervisory and/or leadership role experience
- Project Management and Quality Improvement methodology experience preferred
- Demonstrated effective decision-making, problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution and the ability to think systematically
- ability to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast paced, team setting, often working with competing priorities
- Proven administrative and clinical capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to embrace technological advances
Certificate, Licenses and Records:
- Formal training and expertise in CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing
- Formal training and expertise in use of standardized staged screening and assessment tools validated for use within the addiction and mental health population
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate.
- Certification in GAIN assessment.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) an asset.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
