Halifax, NS Sales and Business Development Experienced Full-time - Permanent $38,000 - $42,000 / year

You are an energetic, enthusiastic, and results focused individual who enjoys selling, event detailing, and working within a variety of target markets.
What you'll do

**Responsibilities**:
Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

Selling and promoting products to Bus, Wedding Clients, and any Group of 25 or more joining existing public tours
Responsible for promoting Public Tours to Hotel Concierge and Front Desk Team
Strives to exceed monthly sales targets.
Establishing and maintaining positive business relationship with key Clients
Respond to request for proposal tenders for sales categories.
Attends annual Wedding shows.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Leads and implements efficiency measures for group sales software.
Provides business development opportunities through statistical reporting.
Supports Food & Beverage Vessel Operation both internally and externally through effective communication.
Point of Contact for confirmed events assists with coordination.
Supports AR

Expectations

Respond to quote requests within 24 hours
Record all quotes in Starboard to follow up on
Convert tentative holds into actual bookings
Calling on previous year's sales to encourage repeat business
Conduct site visits for potential clients
Be a team player and work as a team
Communicate details of contracts effectively to operations
Answer sales phone daily
Experience all tours
Attend weekly department meetings
Follow up with all groups post event
Solicit feedback on group experience
Attend industry functions to help promote company brand and enhance relationships
Take on any additional department related duties as requested by supervisor
