**Wildlife Biologist, Caribou Recovery**
**$73,855.42 - $84,134.34 annually $36.53 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Smithers**
The Provincial Caribou Recovery Program (CRP) is a coordinated program in the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship (WLRS).
**Qualifications for this role include**:
- Master’s degree or higher in biological sciences or a related field and two (2) years of related experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field and three (3) years of related experience, OR
- Registered (or immediately eligible) as a Registered Professional Biologist (RP Bio) in B.C. with the College of Applied Biology within 6 months of employment.
- Minimum three (3) years of big game wildlife management experience (or an acceptable combination of education and experience), including field-based biological sampling, analysis, reporting and providing advice within a regulatory regime.
**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:
- Current membership as a Registered Professional Biologist.
- Experience in caribou ecology and management.
- Experience with caribou and/or other big game capture or population surveys.
- Experience leading staff in project or field settings.
- Experience in GIS based spatial analysis, statistical analysis, and database management.
