**Position Overview**

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Cobot Systems and Integration**
- Program and implement collaborative robot systems
- Develop custom automation software solutions using Python
- Integrate external sensors and mechanical positioners for welding processes
- Configure and optimize cobot workflows and safety systems
- Perform system testing and validation

**CNC Machine Maintenance and Controls**
- Design and install controller retrofits on existing CNC machines
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of existing controllers
- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs
- Execute controller wiring and installation projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

**Research and Development**
- Lead design and development of new automation projects
- Create custom software solutions using Python for process automation
- Integrate new control systems including wiring implementations
- Drive process improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovation projects

**Required Qualifications**
- Strong electronics and controls background, including controller wiring and installation
- Demonstrated experience with robot programming and integration
- Experience programming and troubleshooting VFDs and servo drives
- Python programming skills for automation control and system integration
- Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial controls
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial sensors and positioning systems
- Hands-on experience with CNC machine controls and retrofitting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong documentation and communication abilities

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field
- Experience with collaborative robots and safety systems
- Background in industrial automation and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols
- Experience with HMI development and implementation
