Direct Care Workers provide supportive services to clients in their home and as part of their community.
- **SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:_
- Be a role model and provide supervision, training, and support
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with team members and clients
- Effective Time Management skills
- Implement existing plans and report outcomes
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is a MUST; Diploma in related field preferred.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
- **DUTIES**:_
- Administer medications and maintain proper documentation
- Ensure client needs are met
- Assist, support, and coach clients to advocate for themselves
- Organize and participate in activities for the clients
- Assist clients with personal care such as toileting, bathing, and grooming
- Ensure Safety standards are followed, be aware of hazards, and respond accordingly
- Prepare and submit reports as required

Staff are to assist with daily living skills including:

- budgeting and spending
- meal preparation and menu planning
- laundry and room/apartment management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.86 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
