**Estimating Manager Role & Responsibilities**

Well-capitalized startup seeks extremely talented Estimating Manager to grow estimating department to handle revenue of $10 million in two years. You must have experience in process optimization, analyzing, financials, and rapidly completing estimates in a faction of the time that most consider possible. Top-notch communication and attention to detail skills are essential. You should have a bachelor's degree or master’s in construction management, quantity surveying, building science, or equivalent. Familiarly with architecture or civil engineering would be helpful but is not necessary.

Expect talented, motivated, intense, and interesting co-workers.

Must be willing to relocate to the Ontario area.

Compensation will include meaningful equity ownership.

**Mission for Estimating Manager**:

- To increase awarded project rates to 90% in year one to support year end revenue target by submitting detailed estimates for both residential and commercial in a timely manner, optimizing estimating processes to be more efficient and accurate, finding better solutions to lower overall construction costs, maintaining profit margins and quality standards while building a price database of materials and install rates._

**1. Enhance Estimating Accuracy & Consistency to Support $5M Revenue. (Q1/25)**
- Complete 100% of Detailed Project Estimates within 10 Days w/ compared pricing from 3 Subtrades.
- Achieve 98% accuracy with all scope of work breakdowns and cost estimates.
- Maintain a Gross Profit of 30% - 40% on all Estimates.
- Complete Detailed Highlighted Drawing breakdowns achieving 98% accuracy in scope of work.
- Implement Weekly Estimate Reviews with Project Team providing 85% more insight.

**2. Optimize Estimation Processes & Data-Driven Review Systems. (Q2/25)**
- Create historical & subtrade pricing database to improve budgetary proposal accuracy by 20%.
- Improve highlighted drawing completion rate by 50%, creating templates for take-off efficiency.
- Reduce procurement system turnaround time for RFQ’s by 50%, while maintaining accuracy.
- Improve detailed project estimate completion rate and submission by 35%.
- Set up post-project review system to analyze estimates vs. actual costs for every project.

**3. Increase Project Award Rate to 90% by Lowering Project Costs. (Q3/25)**
- Reduce Project Cost by 20% while Maintaining High-Quality & Gross Profit Margin.
- Present cost benefits analysis for hiring in-house trades vs outsourcing based on profit margins.
- Develop 10 alternative quality construction methods that are 40% more efficient and cost effective.
- Implement findings to achieve year end revenue goal, increasing award rates to 90% or higher.

**4. Strengthen Feedback Loops to Drive Operational Improvements. (Q4/25)**
- Implement quarterly Feedback Loop with Management to identify 3 top recurring

customer issues and operational improvements with actionable changes within 30 days.
- Present estimation insights for cost savings and improvements, incorporating

pre-construction feedback from lost projects into year 2 strategy.
- Create Objectives aligning with Company Goals for Year 2 and present to Pre-Construction Manager.

Pay: $35,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
