**Primary Responsibilities**

HDR is currently looking for a **Project Manager, Transportation Planning** to join our growing Transportation Planning group, facilitating the successful execution and delivery of exciting transportation planning projects, including Municipal and Provincial Class Environmental Assessments, Regional and Municipal Transportation Master Plans, Secondary Plans, Feasibility Studies, etc. HDR is one of the premier transportation planning firms in the industry and known globally for delivering custom solutions to challenging projects.

In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
- Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
- Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
- Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
- Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
- Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
- Be involved in the pursuit of transportation planning projects, including client relationships, proposal development, and marketing.
- Implement QA/QC procedures
- Perform other duties as needed

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Planning
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum 2 years project management experience
- P.Eng License or RPP Designation
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Skills and experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning, and design software (e.g. ArcGIS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Aimsun, Vissim, Emme).
- Skills and experience in design software (i.e. AutoCAD, MicroStation Version 8, and other design packages).
