**Assistant Production Manager - Job Description**
**Reports to: Director of Operations**
**SUMMARY**
The Assistant Production Manager oversees our production operations to guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.
The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervise manufacturing staff to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Maintain communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood and followed
- Lead onboarding and employee training with appropriate 30, 60, and 90 day reviews
- Assist workers by offering personal growth opportunities through annual staff performance reviews
- Direct employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow while keeping production downtime to a minimum
- Resolve issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
- Implement cost-saving strategies and techniques to ensure optimum efficiency
- Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals
- Evaluate and report on the condition of production equipment and coordinate all repair issues from approved sources
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and professional standards within the facility
- Assemble and analyze production records
- Complete all documentation necessary for regulatory compliance accurately and on time
- Other duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three years’ experience as Production Supervisor, Manager, or similar role
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes
- High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
- Able to sit, walk, move around for long hours at a time
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
