**Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidation**

We would like to present an opportunity for a self-motivated Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidation (MFR) with strong initiative and good judgment to join this unique team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the MFR will be responsible for supporting teams across the globe, including management and board reporting, M&A integration, complex technical accounting, and systems implementation.

**The Highlights - Key Mandates**
- **Post-merger integration/M&A**:Assist with integration of newly acquired companies, including key processes, accounting policies, and systems implementation
- **Global finance coordination**:Drive and improve increased finance coordination with various global offices, including the U.S., Singapore, Canada, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
- **Operational efficiencies**: Through development of flexible processes, models, and templates, drive efficiency and effectiveness in how the Company uses financial information.
- **Month-end efficiencies**: Improve timeline for month-end closing

**What You’ll Be Doing
**_Financial Reporting _**
- Preparation of corporate financial statement notes and preparation of various statutory financial statements. Provide recommendation on disclosures based on comparable companies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, e.g. walkthroughs, supporting schedules, follow-up questions.
- Support in the preparation of supplemental management and Board reporting, as required.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements, and coordination with local auditors in the UK.

**_Complex Accounting and Analysis _**
- Prepare analysis (memos and quantitative analysis) on complex accounting transactions, including sales contracts, financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and production accounting, as required.
- Preparation of complex reconciliations, various monthly accruals, bank sheet reconciliations, elimination entries, and certain routine transactions (payroll, financing transactions)

**_Global Finance and Special Projects _**
- Support process, accounting and systems integrations and onboarding both domestically and abroad.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the global finance team to provide assistance in the preparation of the Quarterly Board report, and reporting to other stakeholders.
- Assist with the identification and development of reporting and operational improvements, such as automated management reporting models, acquisition evaluation templates, and financial valuation models.
- Being a resource for ERP (NetSuite) support.

**_Month-End _**
- Assist with the month-end close process, including tracking progress and solving complex operational issues as they arise to ensure meeting month-end deadlines, including those related to the Company’s advertising business, global productions, and content.
- Booking complex journal entries, including intercompany sales, purchase accounting, disposition, or other corporate matters.
- Reviewing consolidated results, and ensuring all entries and eliminations are completed.
- Support in the preliminary review of monthly operating results with the goal of identifying issues and/or errors.

**What You’ll Bring **
- CPA Designation with 4+ years of experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidation principles, including foreign exchange
- Experience in highly acquisitive environments is an asset
- Willingness to work effectively both independently and on a team - you’ll be working closely with the corporate accounting teams in Toronto and abroad, as well as various business operators, including production accountants and network businesses.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written - communicating effectively with teams from different countries and professional backgrounds will be critical to success in this role.
