Manager of Studies will primarily focus on the following:

- Manage the overall performance of Study Managers and projects, including staff utilization, accounts receivable, work-in-progress, over budgets and profitability.
- Responsible for the recruitment and development of a strong team of Study Managers.
- Participate in regular reviews and audits of study timelines, budgets and resources to identify areas of concern and resolve issues. Oversee the successful execution of studies / projects to ensure safety, quality, timeliness and profitability.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage resource levels through proper planning taking into consideration short
- and long-term business needs.
- Responsible for study performance and accountable for the following key metrics: A/R, WIP, Net Project WO, Client Satisfaction as measured in surveys, and staff development of all Study Managers.
- Analyse study status and work with Study Managers to implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure that study and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated to the leadership team.
- Assist in establishing study strategy and monitor critical path schedules and deliverables.
- Conduct weekly reviews to determine on-going project schedules and budget.
- Follow up on poor client surveys to evaluate responses and to formulate necessary corrective action plans.
- Assist with the generation of proposals for new studies and review proposals to ensure that studies have the best chance of being successfully executed.
- Comply with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.

This position is a full-time, regular position based in our Toronto office. We are working in a hybrid model and there is flexibility to work from home. Business travel may be required given the scope of the role.

**About you**

You are a proven strategic business partner looking for your next challenge and can offer the following skills and experience:

- University Degree in a relevant discipline such as Mining, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering with at least 15 years’ experience in the mining industry with extensive knowledge of the regional market.
- Extensive experience in the development, delivery and operation of mining or mineral processing studies.
- Significant people leadership experience.
- Previously worked on a client/owner’s team or as a study manager on several projects/studies.
- An established contact network within designated market (base metals and minerals) would be a major advantage.
- Excellent written technical and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated experience leading high-functioning teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region and internationally when required.
