Community Living Burlington is a social-profit charitable organization serving the communities across the Halton region since 1955. Our mission is to enrich the quality of life of people with a developmental disability and promote their full and meaningful inclusion in the community.

Under the direction of the Director, Clinical Services and within the mission, vision and values statements and the policies and procedures of Community Living Burlington, the main focus of this position is to provide highly skilled and professional support to the organization. This position specifically will promote learning opportunities for understanding behavioural supports, the development of curriculum for learning of behavioural supports and support implementation of Behaviour Support Plans, Behaviour Support Strategies and Skill Acquisition Plans for individuals.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- To collaborate with the Clinical Manager to support the implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and Behaviour Support Strategies with the goal to teach skills to independence, improve quality of life and develop skills for transitional living
- To understand, create and teach the concepts of a Daily Activity Schedule (DAS), regularly monitor the implementation of the DAS and recommend changes as required.
- To participate in planning and consultation meetings with the program leadership teams
- To complete Treatment Integrity Checklists of all Direct Support Professionals’ implementation of treatment plans
- To be skilled and responsible to teach the implementation of Skill Acquisition Programs
- To utilize teaching strategies based on the principles of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) when developing treatment plans and when training staff (e.g., using Behavioural Skills Training (BST))
- Completion of bi-annual progress reports as per QAM regulations
- Complete QAM checks using a QAM compliance checklist on a regular basis to ensure clinical services are in QAM compliance
- Responsible for assisting the Clinical Manager in performing functional behaviour assessments of individuals by collecting data, providing direct observations, interviewing staff and providing feedback to the Clinical Manager
- Assists the Clinical Manager in the development of BSPs, BSSs, SAPs, DASs, data sheets, etc.
- Assists the Clinical Manager in the development of objective monitoring systems, which track the frequency, duration and intensity of challenging behaviour, as well as data evaluating antecedents and consequences.
- Records, graphs, analyzes and summarizes data collected using Excel pivot tables.
- Assists the Clinical Manager in the development of Individualized Program Plans (IPP) and associated skill acquisition programs with data collection procedures to evaluate performance.
- Implements interventions with direction from the Clinical Manager and provides regular support to the team as well as during behavioural escalation/crisis.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant clinical theory, practices and related research (e.g., reading journal articles), participates in monthly meetings, presenting at Third Party reviews, etc.
- Works collaboratively with all managers to ensure staff are administering the clinical treatment plans with fidelity to ensure the most effective intervention is implemented for the people supported
- Ability to think ethically and professional and to clearly communicate different perspectives and rational for decision making
- To be physically active and participate side by side with the support team
- Ability to multi-task and be highly flexible in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- To understand and adhere to CLB Policies and Procedures as well as support the Collective Agreement
- Ensure staff are aware and comply with CLB policies and procedures and MCCSS Quality Assurance Measures (QAM)
- Provide opportunities for Coaching / Learning / and Training opportunities for all Direct Support Professionals with documentation and outcomes identified
- Other duties as assigned.
