Production Scheduler/purchaser

Due to increased demand, the company is looking to hire an experienced production scheduler/buyer. This position will be varied and will appeal to an individual looking to be fully immersed in the production process. It might also appeal to those living within the Tri-Cities area and are looking for long-term employment in a growing company. Our production facility is located on Murray Street close to Rocky Point Park.
**Production Scheduler**
Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing operations:
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for scheduling, including materials availability, equipment capacity, and labor resources.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, including documentation of any changes or adjustments made.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust production schedules based on changing priorities, customer demands, and resource constraints.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with sourcing and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to generate production plans and schedules.
**Buyer**:
- Place purchase orders for raw materials.
- Navigate amongst suppliers to ensure we are receiving best prices for raw materials.
- Receive products into MRP system including batch traceability.
- Enter Accounts Payable into system.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in production scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and suppliers
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and techniques
- Proficiency in MRP systems and other scheduling software
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on production metrics
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address scheduling conflicts or issues
**Salary**: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
