- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation
- Perform debris removal
- Take lead and assist as required on hose assembly, filling water tanks, inspecting work sites and operating high pressure wands and dismantling machinery
- Take lead utilizing the Hydro Vac truck to day light, slot trench, confirm locates, frost cut, dry vacuum, create pole holes and other various digging activities
- Completion of high school
- 2 plus years experience driving a hydro vac truck.
- Fully trained in the operations and maintenance of the truck and comfortable trouble shooting and minor repairs in the field
- Operate Vac truck in a safe manner.
- Complete the daily maintenance programs as per equipment specifications.
- Comfortable around underground utility services

**Qualifications**:

- Geographical knowledge sufficient to read maps and follow directions
- Understanding of CVOR and MTO guidelines and requirements
- Mechanically inclined; able to maintain company truck, machinery or tools assigned, trouble-shoot, repair and replace as appropriate
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks, managing time efficiently
- Hydrovac related training an asset i.e., First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Working at Heights etc.
- Able to take direction and work safely and efficiently with mínimal supervision; Self-motivated, disciplined, organized and a team player
- Competent problem-solving skills

- Able to communicate clearly, written and verbal, in English
- Able to take direction and can work well with others

**Requirements**:

- Possess a valid G driver’s license
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (required to be insurable)
- Criminal Background Check
- Must adhere to all company specific policies and regulations
- Able to work in varied weather conditions; exposure to loud and moving equipment
- Steel-Toed Work Boots (marked by a green triangle)
- Able to do physically demanding work (i.e., lift/carry 50 +/- lbs)
- Understanding of Book 7
- Able to communicate clearly, written and verbal, in English
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, evenings and emergency call outs when required
- Hydrovac Operator related training an asset i.e. First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Working at Heights etc
- Experience working in the construction industry including site preparation and restoration. Previous experience in hydro excavation is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
