**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Associate to join our fast-paced and hardworking team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent law school graduate or junior lawyer with a passion for criminal defence to develop their skills and grow professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal matters, from initial arrest through to trial
- Review disclosure, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents and submissions
- Conduct bail hearings, pleas, resolutions, trials and preliminary hearings
- Conduct CPTs and JPTs
- Manage all client matters on a daily basis, regularly communicating with clients and managing the client relationship
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Stay updated on developments in criminal law and procedure

**Qualifications**:

- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum one to three years experience in criminal law and trial experience is considered an asset, but recent graduates will be considered
- Strong academic record and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated commitment to criminal defence and social justice
- Ability to speak French is considered an asset
