We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our Edmonton Team. If you have excellent communication skills, are a problem solver, and excel at multi-tasking this position is for you

**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate fleet personnel to ensure proper allocation of resources and equipment in order to maximize operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate and oversee daily routing and scheduling of mixer and pump trucks.
- Adhere to time schedules and applicable laws/legislation, codes, and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the drivers to manage equipment problems, traffic, accidents and on-site conditions.
- Ensure schedules are carried out in an effective and efficient manner, making adjustments as required.
- Pivot quickly to accommodate road closures and bans, weather, and mechanical/technical problems.
- Collaborate and coordinate with sales and procurement staff regarding inventory of materials, admixtures, and value-added products availability.
- Communicate with the safety team and customers to exchange information, coordinate activities, and resolve issues.
- Receive and respond to inquiries concerning routing, scheduling, and other trucking related questions from customers, internal stakeholders, and drivers.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts within the department including implementing policy and process efficiencies.
- Schedule repairs and preventative maintenance with shop staff at the plant.
- Use tracking and dispatching software to maximize cost efficiency, maintain a high level of customer service, and locate drivers.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- 2+ year’s experience as a dispatcher in the construction or transport industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Post secondary education in a related field (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics Management, etc.) is preferred.
**Hours of Work & Schedule**:
- Rotating schedule consisting of 5 days on and 1 day off, followed by 4 days on and 3 days off.
- Start and end time will vary depending on concrete schedule and Saturday shifts may be required.
