Optometric Admin Assistant

**About us**
We are an optometrist’s office that provides comprehensive eye exams, glasses, contact lenses, and dry eye products and services to the St Clair and surrounding community. Our focus is on providing each of our patients with great service and quality care. We are a relatively new clinic looking to add a friendly and hardworking part time optometric assistant to grow with our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform pre-exam and diagnostic testing, such as with an auto-refractor, retinal camera, and OCT
- Assist patients with selecting glasses and adjusting frames
- Assist patients with contact lenses
- Book appointments using our electronic medical records system
**Required Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Work well in a team
- Self-motivated and take initiative
No specific experience in the optical or optometry industry is necessary as training will be provided, but some industry experience and/or retail experience is an asset.

**Must be available 2 out of 3 days between Monday to Wednesday from 9:30 AM-6:30 PM or later and at least some Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or later to apply** We are hoping to start with more limited hours that will grow in the future.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 8-20 per week
**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
