Our dynamic and growing team is seeking an Inventory Manager.

As a member of our Procurement team, and directly overseeing one individual you will be responsible for inventory control, procedures, optimization and process improvement over our multi channel.. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset and who is eager to grow as the company/team grows (bonus point if you love bikes).

This role will report directly to our VP of Strategy and Data Analytics.

**THE JOB**:
Inventory Planning
- Influence & collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners (including Purchasing, Operations, etc.) to deliver business strategy.
- Create and manage inventory forecast across different channels.
- Monthly reporting of results.

Inventory Control
- Making recommendations to the business on industry best practices for inventory control (EOQ, reorder point, Safety Stock, etc.).
- Auditing and developing inventory control processes to drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy while balancing the needs of each respective department impacted by the change.
- Thorough analysis and understanding of cycle count results.
- Create & manage guidelines to maintain high level standards of the inventory control process (monthly, quarterly and year-end physical counts).
- Investigate, report, and provide explanations for inventory variances.
- Recommends, implements, trains staff on inventory control processes upon industry best practices.

Inventory Optimization
- Produce powerful analysis that highlights opportunities to achieve optimal inventory placement across the network both at a high (e.g., channel) and a low (e.g., an individual store) level.
- Monitor and manage aged or obsolete inventory.

Implementation of new techniques to ensure optimization of inventory levels.

Other
- Monitor system data to ensure reports are accurate and work with cross-functional teams to minimize any inaccuracies.
- Consolidationof vendor purchasing to streamline sku’s for ease of administration and improve margin impact for the business.
- Continuous evaluation of processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and optimization.
- Other projects as requested.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 4+ years experience in inventory planning, inventory management and process implementations.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a multi-store retail environment is preferred
- Experience of building and executing inventory plans in a multi-channel environment.
- Outstanding data analysis skills.
- Ability to perform complex analysis while utilizingmultiple systems.
- Deep understanding and able to perform ABC analysis, turns, EOQ, reorder point, safety stock, root cause analysis etc.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel (required)
- SQL an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time and priority management.
- Teamwork and proactive individual contribution
- Self starter and able to work independently.**Responsibilities**
