We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team at a leading bank in Toronto, Canada. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional specifications for technology solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders from various business units and technical teams to drive successful project outcomes and support the bank's strategic objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories to support the implementation of technology solutions.
- Work closely with technical teams, such as developers and system architects, to ensure the effective translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
- Perform gap analysis to identify deviations between current and desired future states and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Participate in the testing and quality assurance activities, ensuring that deliverables meet the defined requirements.
- Assist in the development and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Provide post-implementation support and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and user satisfaction with implemented solutions.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to the banking and financial services domain.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex business requirements.
- Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Experience in process modeling, requirements elicitation, use case development, and user story creation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Business analysis certifications (such as CBAP, CCBA) are a plus.
