- Our **Fabricator 1** positions have a starting **wage range of $18-$20** per hour based on experience and a skills assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.

Our **AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada** facility is looking for an energetic **Fabricator 1** to join our Windows Department in Chilliwack.

The **Fabricator 1** is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and engineered drawings to correspond with the required metal cuts. The **Fabricator 1** will be required to use a variety of power tools to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. No experience necessary, we are willing to train the right person.

**Essential functions for this role are**:

- Operate light machinery, including grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and a variation of saws
- Examine blueprints and drawings to assess what materials needed
- Plan the sequence of tasks to fabricate products
- Install fabricated components in the final product
- Monitor quality of fabrication
- Adhere to all safety standards and SOP’s

**If you have the following experience, qualifications, and skills, we want to hear from you**
- High school education
- 0 - 2 years’ experience working with power tools
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Manual dexterity
- Basic knowledge of fabrication an asset
- Basic mechanical and math skills an asset
