**Quality Assurance Manager (QAP/AQAP)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Will act as QAP/AQAP Assuring the quality of cannabis products before they are made available for sale;
- Provide approval of methods and procedures for cannabis or anything that will be used as an ingredient for the production, packaging, labeling, and storage cannabis products prior to their implementation;
- Investigate every complaint received regarding the quality of cannabis with immediate actions to mitigate risks;
- Review and approval of preventative control plans for extracts and edibles prior to implementation;
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices for the provisions of the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations;
- Continuously monitor the changing regulatory landscape to develop, implement, monitor, and assess strategic initiatives;
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with our best practices, policies, procedures, applicable acts, and regulations;
- Lead the QA team on achievement of day-to-day tasks as well as provide development and coaching to the team;
- Manage adherence to product quality programs ensuring that the products produced comply with pertinent regulations, quality standards, and individual customer requirement;
- Manage non-conforming product as well as proper CAPA actioning with root cause analysis;
- Monitor data to support adherence of product specifications;
- Ensure the development of applicable Quality Standards required for the facility;
- Conducts traceability exercises at minimum of twice per year, drives continuous improvement from resulting CAPAs;
- Coordinate stability testing for new products providing guidance to path forward;
- Accompany Health Canada and other auditing bodies during site inspections and accountable for CAPA when required;
- Perform internal facility inspections and audits;
- Conduct suitability reviews for new suppliers, review supplied documentation for new ingredients or new packaging;
- Provide Quality guidance for continuous improvement with new product development, product changes, packaging changes, new equipment, facility design, etc.;
- Quality budgeting and adherence to goals;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to acquire and maintain a Security Clearance as required under the Cannabis act;
- Ability to obtain Minister approval to act as the Quality Assurance Person for Organigram;
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience;
- Quality Assurance experience in Manufacturing with cannabis, food manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing focus;
- Security Clearance and previous QAP experience preferred;
- Previous experience in a management role with experience leading a successful team;
- Experience in a regulated environment would be considered an asset;
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, inventory management systems;
- Proven leadership experience and teamwork;
- Excels in critical thinking for problem solving, and decision-making skills;
- Displays strong attention to detail;
- Has a well-established sense of urgency, takes initiative to problem-solve and can provide flexible solutions;
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills with ability to execute various reports.
