We are continually growing and are looking to add a Lead Hand to our team in Charlottetown We have completed many of the premier landscape projects in Nova Scotia including Argyle Street and Spring Garden Road, Queen’s Marque,Peggy Cove’s Viewing Deck and MYSA Nordic Spa in PEI. **Your day at Trim Landscaping**:
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Lead hand to join our team in PEI. Day-to-day you will be working with a crew of 2-3 people completing a variety of projects that could include laying pavers, planting trees, building retaining walls, pouring concrete or constructing a deck throughout PEI. Direction, oversight and information for projects will be coordinated through a General Manager and Operation Manager. In the winter, your team may vary based on route with snow removal. You are the right-hand to the crew leader with whatever tasks need completion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct employees in proper work methods and standards; monitor crew work quality; ensure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices,
- Safety - Wear appropriate PPE for the job, report accidents and near misses, participate in safety briefings
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills
- Show up on time with a positive attitude, ready, willing, and capable of working for the day.
- Assign daily tasks to crew members to complete weekly goals. (Given by General Manager)
- Perform labor-intensive tasks
- Complete all necessary paperwork, meetings & administration daily
- Morning huddles
- Timesheets with notes, pictures, correct times & correct jobsite tasks
- Toolbox Talks on weekly basis
- T&M sheets with labor, equipment & materials
- Being organized for the week to stay ahead of your team.
- Order and/or coordinate daily materials or products that are needed.

**Job Requirements**:

- High school graduation required; associate's degree preferred.
- Two years of relevant experience is required
- Able to read and understand blueprints or design specifications
- Certified to drive tandem truck and/or air brake endorsement is considered an asset
