At Chair-Man Mills, our goal is to service our clients with the highest of service. Maintenance Helper will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of our damaged items, contributing to the seamless execution of events and overall customer satisfaction.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance, repair of chairs and tables, bar plexis and cleaning of ovens, barbecues. Regularly inspect items for damage, or malfunctions.
- Repairs: Perform minor repairs on event items, such as fixing loose joints, replacing missing parts, or repairing minor damages. Collaborate with maintenance staff for more complex repairs and replacements.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage. Fix the items and ensure they are in impeccable condition before they are sent back to departments.
- Storage and Organization: Help organize the storage area for damaged items, ensuring items are neatly stacked, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the maintenance supervisor immediately.
- Cleanliness: Keep the area clean and well-maintained. Regularly sweep, mop, and remove debris to maintain a hygienic workspace. Ensure that items are stored in a clean environment to prevent any safety incident.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used for repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Knowledge and ability to adhere to workplace safety precautions.
- CSA approved steel toe shoes/boots.
