**Responsibilities**:

- Anchoring newscasts and general assignment reporting
- Producing newscasts
- Researching information for accuracy, generating enterprising and relevant story ideas
- Covering stories outside of the station live and on location
- Writing clear and interesting copy for air and digital platforms
- Presenting stories in an interesting manner while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and accuracy
- Reading nightly radio newscasts
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media
- Regularly posts content and engages with audiences on social media platforms
- Represent CTV at community events
- Other duties as required

**Critical Qualifications**:

- 5 years of anchoring experience in a major market
- Ability to ad lib, interview and go-off prompter as required
- Strong on-air and communication skills in breaking news coverage
- Excels at breaking and enterprising significant, local stories
- Works with news producers and manages building the newscasts
- Works well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines on-air, online and on social media
- Demonstrates a positive, team-orientated and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Valid G class driver’s license and a good driving record are required
