The Investment Writer position is a high-value role within our Canadian Editorial team, part of our growing wealth and asset management marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Editorial for Manulife Investment Management in Canada, you’ll be responsible for creating a wide range of investment-related content—ideally in both English and French—to help meet our business objectives. Your work will fuel multiple websites and digital marketing platforms and include a mix of net new content and adaptations of content created in other divisions and regions.

Enhancing Manulife Investment Management’s brand as a global thought leader is a top priority for the firm. You’ll play a role in identifying content opportunities, developing new content, and helping meet regional KPIs across our institutional and retail businesses. We’re looking for a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Being highly collaborative, working well with cross-functional partners and being able to navigate a large organization are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You should be able to confidently conceive of, research and write the full spectrum of investment content and other marketing collateral, including white papers, social media copy, video scripts, sales aids, presentations, web pages, etc.
- You should be equally comfortable writing 2,500-word, research-focused white papers and 75-word social media copy.
- Contribute best-in-class writing to our strong and growing digital properties in order to drive brand awareness, foster customer engagement, and generate business leads
- Help deliver strategic campaigns anchored in business strategy and achieving best-in-class results.
- Help drive the adoption of existing and new digital capabilities.
- Stay abreast of current financial market dynamics in order to create content that is top of mind for investors and advisors.
- Develop highly collaborative, productive relationships with the firm’s investment teams, product management, and sales to produce insightful content that spurs action and delivers results.
- Liaise with our compliance and legal teams to ensure we are meeting our regulatory obligations
- Collaboration with your colleagues in MIM Canada Marketing and US, Europe and Asian editorial to ensure alignment on priorities and activity.
- Challenge the status quo - bring fresh ideas to the table and show us how to improve our products, and services and communications for our clients.

**Education, Experience & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree required.; financial designation (CFA, CSC, CIM, etc.) would be considered an asset.
- 3+ years of progressive experience writing and creating content for a Canadian or global asset manager; financial journalism experience also considered as an asset.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment products across retail and institutional businesses.
- Excellent written communications skills in English; **competency in written/spoken French is considered a significant asset.**:
