Savanna Well Servicing Inc ("Savanna") is anticipating a busy winter season.

**_ As such, we are looking for a temporary HSE Advisor to join our team in Leduc, AB. This is a temporary position that is anticipated to commence as soon as possible and last until spring, 2023._**

**General Statement of Duties**:

- Under the direction of the divisional Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and working directly with the regional operations team, supporting operational activities to ensure they are conducted in a manner that is safe and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- _ This position requires extensive travel to Savanna’s field operations within Savanna’s operating regions (Leduc, Grande Prairie, and Brooks)._

**Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)**:

- Promote a culture of personal responsibility and commitment toward the environment, safety, and health;
- Ensure the safety management system is implemented and functioning throughout the assigned region;
- Participate with operations safety meetings, pre-job planning meetings (Safe Starts), client review meetings, and safety training;
- Develop sound knowledge of completion techniques, activities, and the associated risks with said techniques and activities;
- Perform routine rig inspections and HSE inspections;
- Support the incident reporting process and perform incident investigations to identify root cause and corrective/preventative actions; and participate with the HSE on-call rotation;
- Promote the awareness of hazard identification, elimination, and control;
- Utilize various data sets to identify operational safety trends and recommend loss prevention strategies;
- Remain current and knowledgeable of OH&S legislation, industry best practices, AER requirements, and other Health & Safety Regulations (as applicable);
- Other duties as requested.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
Technical:

- Incident investigation training and experience and ability to draft thorough investigation reports;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
Communication:

- Strong communication skills including listening, informing, and following up with others as well as preparing written communication in the form of reports, memos, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely;
- Respond calmly to emergency and/or critical situations;
- Handle confidential information in an ethic manner.

Organizational:

- Excellent role model of character;
- Strong Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities and resources;
- Excellent information gathering, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to provide competent advice and sourcing of information;
- Strong judgement in determining what is important and setting priorities;
- Ability to manage conflict and changing priorities;
- Ability to positively contribute within a team-oriented environment;
- Ability to travel to remote rig sites across Western Canada;
**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Certificate/Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety (preferred);
- Well servicing operations experience is a definite asset;
- Extensive incident investigation training and experience (Root Cause Analysis);
- Working knowledge of OH&S, AER, WCB Regulations, and IRPs;
- Maintain all required training certificates and tickets as per Savanna’s training matrix for this position (i.e., Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, etc.).
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License in good standing with no more than six demerits within the past two years.

**Special Conditions**:

- Ability to travel extensively to worksites, work weekends, on-call, and overtime;
- Ability to work unconventional hours on occasion, as required.
