The Manager, Career & Women’s Services will oversee the implementation of the Preparing Women and Workplaces for Success (PWWS) pilot project, Advancing Equity for Women and Girls (AEWG) project, and other projects as assigned. Funded by the Government of Canada, both PWWS and AEWG projects identify and address specific barriers faced by racialized women across Canada and provide pre-employment and skills development supports to improve their labour market integration.

This role includes leadership of a dedicated team, management of project budgets, reporting and operational tasks. Relationship and partnership development with internal and external stakeholders is a key component of this role.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure compliance with funding agreements, including the achievement of goals, objectives, and targets within the stipulated timelines and budget allocations.
- Manage the process of recruitment, onboarding, supervision, professional development, performance management and review of program staff.
- Prepare and submit payroll, manage vacation scheduling, and sick day coverage pertaining to program staff
- Compile internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly and quarterly narrative and cash flow variance reports, annual project performance reports and final project reports to be reviewed by the Director, Career & Women Services
- Prepare independent service agreements applicable to project partners
- Manage and foster relationships pertaining to the project funders and other internal and external stakeholders
- Establish a sound and mutually beneficial client referral protocol/process in collaboration with project partners and consistently review the effectiveness of each partnership
- Develop and approve content for marketing collateral and consistently monitor the effectiveness of program promotional activities
- Address project concerns in a timely manner and escalate complex issues to the Director, Career & Women Services
- Review the client feedback received via Achev’s Client Charter and provide appropriate and timely responses and action as necessary
- Audit OneCient database to ensure appropriate maintenance of client information
- Assess changing project needs and propose innovations to address them and/or develop additional services
- Oversee project set up and close out tasks as required
- Represent Achev at internal and external stakeholder meetings and conferences
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**:

- University Degree or College Diploma in social services or related area.
- The PMP certification is considered an asset
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in the community social services sector with demonstrated and in-depth working knowledge of newcomer settlement and employment issues, applicable legislation and policies
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience overseeing projects and personnel
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement budgets and manage cash flows in accordance with funder and organizational standards
- Knowledge of government funding requirements and procedures including government reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to network, collaborate, build relationships, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of the current immigration and refugee policies and demographic data
- Knowledge of community and employment networks
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, combined with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent computer skills including demonstrated ability to use webinar software, including MS Office, Outlook, and other virtual platforms
- Ability to travel for internal and external stakeholder meetings and conferences
- Willing to work evenings and weekends as dictated by program needs
- Provision of a Criminal Reference Check if required for specific funder/program demands
