Lawn Maintenance Foreperson

Landscape Maintenance Foreperson required for the New Tecumseth and surrounding area. Must be a self-starter, willing to learn and provide leadership to a crew on various residential and commercial Landscape Maintenance projects. Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Landscape Maintenance Sector. Must have a valid G drivers’ license. Must be willing to work weekends and long hours when required and be able to lift 50 lbs or 22 kg, on a regular basis. Compensation will be according to experience. Expected start date of Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 (or sooner). This is a full time position.

**Key Job Duties**
- Managing a crew of 3 to 5 workers included but not limited to providing direction, supervision and training
- Drive company truck and trailer
- Understanding of turf healthcare to provide recommendations to clients to assist with trouble shooting of turf related disease and pests
- Effective and professional client relation skills
- Ensure all activity complies with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and schedule daily maintenance with mechanic team if required
- Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ability to operate various pieces of landscape equipment and related small tools
- Willing to attend and deliver safety orientation training as required.

**Job Requirements**
- Valid G driver’s license, (DZ) an asset
- Clean drivers abstract
- Minimum of 3 years field experience and crew management
- Ability to operate equipment such as Ventrac front rotary mowers, zero-turn mowers. trimmers, blowers, tillers and other related Landscape equipment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or 22 kg on a regular basis
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act including job hazard awareness and safe work practices
- Ability to work long hours and weekends when required

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
